Hi everyone!
This is my contribution for the third prompt of 2026 in Sylvanian Creations, "Springtime". I hope you enjoy it!
Zane and Kaya Veldt make and sell toys in the village of Arcfield. When Spring comes, one of the things they love to do the most is to take out their caravan to the nearby forest and spend a day surrounded by nature. Their twins, little Kibo and Zuri, love it as well!
As soon as they arrive to a spot they like, Zane and Kaya unload their bikes from their caravan. They actually first met while biking, and it's something they still like to do together and as a family.
With their picnic basket set, Kaya sets out some food and snacks for the little ones while Zane grills some veggies for lunch. They always bring their radio to listen to music while they enjoy their lunch outdoors.
Afterwards, with the twins enjoying a much-needed nap, Zane and Kaya usually play games together. Sometimes it's a board game, but today it's cards!
The Veldt's caravan is quite convenient, since it has a toilet and even a shower inside!
If they ever want to stay the night the forest, the seats also fold to become a comfy bed.
After Kibo and Zuri wake up from their nap, the whole family goes biking!
By the time they arrive to this small lake, the sun is already starting to go down. However, that doesn't stop the twins from swimming or playing with their toys in the water. While Zane enjoys quietly reading his newspaper, Kaya watches the local wildlife with her binoculars.
And so, when night finally falls, the Veldts get back up in their trusty caravan and get safely back home after enjoying their wonderful day outside.

The End!
I hope you enjoyed this little story. I have to thank my dear friend Berna, who gifted me this lovely SF caravan and encouraged me to create a story set outdoors. Thank you so much! I hope you liked it!
I've had the giraffe family in their box for years, and they finally got to escape their plastic prison for this story. They are adorable and very colourful.
Have a wonderful month of May, everyone! Stay safe and healthy!

Hi Ayrell!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day out for the Veldts! Your photos are a total treat for the eyes! I love them all!
It’s actually my first time seeing the interior of the caravan. I had no idea it came with a toilet, shower, and even foldable seats for sleeping. Having a spot for the bikes is such a great feature, too.
I’m so happy you finally found the motivation to put this story and the photos together. I’ve been looking forward to it, and I’m sure your giraffes are thrilled to finally be out of their box and exploring the forest! It’s great they even found a small lake for the kids to have a swim. They look very cute with their swim rings!
I hope inspiration and motivation stay with you so we can see more stories on your blog soon.
Have a lovely month of May!
Hi Cutata!
DeleteThank you so much for your kind comment, I'm so happy you liked the story and the pictures!
The caravan is very cool. The car dashboard is removable and becomes a small kitchenette, and there's also a bench and several accessories. You can see pictures here: https://www.sylvanianfamilies.com/es-es/catalog/item_detail.php?product_id=1952
It's a very cool vehicle and I'm very grateful for Berna for sending it to me. :D
I also hope my motivation stays. Thank you, my friend!
Hi Ayrell!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely little story! I'm glad you were inspired to use your giraffes. Most of my new purchases live in their boxes when not given day-release for a story and in my case only one of my giraffes has sneaked out on one occasion for a single photo! It's nice to see them in a proper story.
They had a fun day out, didn't they? Cycling, picnicking, nature watching, and playing cards. The little ones sleeping look cute. I like your tree background too. It is very effective.
Thank you for treating us.
Take care and have a nice spring month!
Hi Jackson!
DeleteThank you very much for your kind comment. I'm very glad you enjoyed the story. I hope your giraffes get out of their boxes soon too! They are very cute and they are now hanging around my house since I liked to see them.
Have a wonderful month of May!
Hi Ayrell!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise to come across your link to Arcfield on Sylvanarium. Your cover image piqued my curiosity – and the charming story about your giraffe family was well worth the wait. Congratulations on the beautiful campervan! It’s sure to prove its worth as a mobile home on longer journeys. I hope your giraffes are adventurous – and are planning more trips aboard their cosy campervan. It was great fun to see the Veldt family enjoying their day in the forest.
Thank you so much for sharing this heart-warming story!
I wish you a lovely weekend!
Hi Florence!
