A Winter Day in Arcfield

 Hi everyone!

This is my contribution from the first prompt of 2026 in Sylvanian Creations, "Winter".

Even though it's a snowy and cold day, the Nielsen polar bears, Noah and Barbara, have opened their crêpes and soft-serve ice-cream stands. This year they are collaborating with and being helped by their new friends, the Weddell penguin family. Aurora and Ernest are sharing samples of their future gelato business, and baby Patrick (or Paddy, as their parents affectionately call him) seems quite proud to be manning their little cart.

Julia, the polar bear's oldest child, is also around. She's watching her baby twin siblings, Briony and Noel, and keeping them entertained! Briony is building a snowman with her big sister, and Noel is playing with the snow.

The snow leopard parents, Shaya and Pamir Ladhak, have taken advantage of the crisp and chilly day to take their little ones, Zoran and Zigsa, out to play in the snow. Although the babies are still young, they are quite adventurous already! Their parents seem to be considering some sweet treats from Noah's stand.

Last but not least, the Marlow seal family are having a nice picnic in the snow. Finn and Lana are enjoying some nice food and cold treats with their little ones, Kai and Naya.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures! I wanted to take some wintery pictures and at the same time showcase some of my new Winter families. I'm just missing the huskies now!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hi Ayrell!

Great to see your new post!

Lovely to see all your cold-weather critters socialising in the winter weather. The backdrop is very effective. I like the lolly-stick fence; how long did that take to make?

Hoping you have a great week!

    1. Hi Jackson! Thank you very much for your comment!
Glad you liked the pictures. :)
The background is a royalty-free image printed in 3 A4 sheets taped together. The fence is store-bought! You can buy similar ones in Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-miniature-fence.html

Thank you again, have a wonderful week!

  2. Hi Ayrell!
It’s so great to find a new post on your blog! I loved seeing all your cold-weather families having fun in the snow. I didn't realize you had the seals, too! By the way, I spotted a lovely teapot (or coffee pot) with them, does it belong to a specific Sylvanian set?

I also had no idea that the snow leopards had such long tails. They are lovely!

It’s great to see the Nielsens collaborating with the Weddell penguin family. I really hope the Weddells get to open their own ice cream shop someday, hopefully as friends and not rivals of the Nielsens.

Looking forward to a new update about Arcfield and its villagers!
    A big hug!

    1. Hi Cutata!

Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed this post!
Yes, I got the seals for my birthday last year. They are so cute! And you already know I adore the snow leopards.

The coffee/tea pot is from the Bikes & Picnic Flair set (https://www.sylvanianfamilies.com/en-ph/catalog/item_detail.php?product_id=90), with the mom and boy Renard foxes. I love it, as well as the radio it included as well.

I think the Weddells and the Nielsens will keep collaborating as friends!

Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

  3. Oh, yes! I love that set! It’s great that you were able to get it. I love all the Sylvanian picnic sets, but this one is lovely. It includes the tea set, the radio, and the tricycle, which is so cute, and of course, the mother and the Fox son.
    Happy Easter! A hug!
